I am a 28 year old, happily married family guy living on the Central Coast of California.
I am self-taught in everything except some limited community college courses of basic multimedia communication. I learned very early on that those who “can’t do, teach” and I found my time was better spent actually doing than trying to learn from those who couldn’t do. So I started picking up technical manuals for topics that interested me relating to website design and things lead to one another.
Here I am today with proficiencies in Photoshop, Freehand, Illustrator, HTML, ASP.NET, C#, SQL, and LUA.
I work full-time for a company that manufactures and retails custom cycling apparel. Our company is composed of several divisions and the services we perform range from full custom kits, to semi-custom jerseys, to a full blown online retail line.
I started with the company in September of 2003 as Designer in the Art Department working with Full Custom Customers. In 2004 I transferred to and put in charge of the Semi-Custom division at our online retail outlet.
The online retail outlet portion of has a fairly small group of employees so everyone can wear a lot of different hats over a period of time. This lead to me needing to learn SQL, ASP.NET and C# to work with our website and order management platform Ecometry.
I am an avid online-gamer in my spare time. My current passion is Worlds of Warcraft. The guild that I am part of recently killed Illidan pre-nerf in Burning Crusades which has been our goal since it was released a little under two years ago.
